The leading brand fire resisting doors are fitted with the 15mm size, one strip for 30 minute doors and 2 strips running parallel, but approx 6mm apart, plus one brush and one plain where smoke seals are required around the door to achieve FD60 status
Additionally, factory doorset manufacturers use this size as it has enabled them to use one size cutter for either FD30 or FD60 doors, albeit set up differently
